As part of the conference, students had the opportunity to attend workshops led by the Committee on Criminal Law and Procedure of the Odesa Regional Bar Association. Among the speakers was Denis Ponomarenko, a partner at Barristers Law Firm and chair of the Committee on Criminal Law and Procedure.
He spoke about the role of a lawyer in criminal proceedings, shared real-life case studies, and offered advice on how to handle modern criminal cases.
Also participating in the event were attorney Kateryna Varnaliy, secretary of the Committee, and legal assistant Ivan Yurdik, both from Barristers Law Firm.
It was a wonderful opportunity for students to gain a deeper understanding of the legal profession and learn about the real challenges and opportunities in criminal law.
