The session was led by Lyudmila Kryvda, Associate Professor in the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics, with the participation of Denis Ponomarenko, attorney and partner at Barristers LLP — a distinguished Ukrainian attorney and Chair of the Committee on Criminal Law and Procedure of the Odesa Regional Bar Association.
During the session, cadets from the Faculty of Law and Law Enforcement of the National Police University had the opportunity to learn about the practical aspects of conducting an interrogation, the specific tactics involved, as well as the role and procedural options available to a lawyer during this investigative procedure.
Particular attention was paid to the interaction between the parties in criminal proceedings, the observance of the rights of those involved in the process, and the development of professional skills among future law enforcement officers.
