On December 19, 2025, Olga Tarasenko, an attorney at Barristers LLP, spoke to students at the Faculty of Sociology and Law at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The topic of the lecture was “Commercial Litigation: What Textbooks Don’t Mention.”

The lecture focused on practical aspects of commercial law, knowledge of which is extremely important for future lawyers. Students learned about the realities of commercial litigation, key nuances of working with courts and documents, as well as common mistakes to avoid in legal practice.

The lecture took place as part of a collaboration between Igor Sikorsky KPI and Barristers Law Firm, which was formalized by a memorandum of cooperation. Under the agreement, students from the Faculty of Sociology and Law will have the opportunity to complete internships with the country’s leading attorneys, and a European-level law school will be established at the faculty.
