Iryna Vasylivna Hlovyuk, attorney, research advisor at Barristers Law Firm, Doctor of Law, associate professor, and head of the Department of Criminal Procedure at the National University “Odesa Law Academy,” at the invitation of A.I. Drishlyuk, took part in a two-day event dedicated to the presentation and discussion of the newly developed “Rules for Organizing Effective Civil Proceedings” and “Rules for Organizing Effective Criminal Proceedings,” which took place on November 21–22, 2019, as part of the international project “COURT, CITIZENS, SOCIETY: COOPERATION FOR CHANGE.”
On November 21, 2019, Iryna Hlovyuk spoke as an expert on the panel: “The Nature of the Rules for Organizing Effective Judicial Proceedings.”
On November 22, 2019, Iryna Hlovyuk participated in the work of the criminal law group to discuss issues related to the application of the “Rules for the Organization of Criminal Proceedings,” including a discussion of a model case. Comments from the law firm “Barristers” regarding certain provisions of the “Rules for the Organization of Criminal Proceedings” were presented.
The event was attended by judges from the Supreme Court, the Odesa Court of Appeals, and local courts in Odesa and the Odesa region, as well as foreign experts, attorneys, representatives of the prosecutor’s office, and academics.
