Yuriy Zhovtan, an attorney and partner at BARRISTERS, LLC, has been appointed to the Committee for the Protection of Lawyers’ Rights of the National Association of Attorneys of Ukraine

On November 23, the Ukrainian National Bar Association’s Committee on the Protection of Lawyers’ Rights held its regular meeting.

During the meeting, a number of important issues regarding the protection of lawyers’ rights were discussed, including a draft regulation on a single telephone number for reporting investigative actions against lawyers, developed by Committee member, attorney, and partner at BARRISTERS Law Firm Denis Ponomarenko. A decision was made to submit the draft of these regulations to the Ukrainian Bar Council for approval at its next meeting, which will take place next month.

Yuriy Zhovtan, an attorney and partner at BARRISTERS LLP, was appointed to the NAAU Committee on the Protection of Lawyers’ Rights. 

A number of organizational issues were discussed, as well as appeals from attorneys regarding violations of professional rights and guarantees.
