Barristers secured the release of a British citizen from extradition custody

The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv granted the motion filed by attorney Elvira Lazarenko and ordered the immediate release from custody of British businessman John D., who had been placed under extradition detention.

Judge Oleksandr Kipcharsky ruled that the detention of the British national was unlawful (the full text of the court ruling will be announced by the court at a later date).

As a reminder, British investor John D. is seeking protection in Ukraine from persecution in his home country. We are monitoring developments.
