Criminal defense attorney,  partner of the Law firm “BARRISTERS” Ponomarenko Denis and Criminal defense attorney, scientific adviser of the Law firm “BARRISTERS” Mykola Pashkovskyi defended US citizen.

16.09.2021 the Criminal Cassation Court of the Supreme Court in upheld the acquittal under Part 1 of Art. 201 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the decision of the appeal court without changes.

Earlier, the prosecutor's office (as established by the court's acquittal - without reason) accused the US citizen of moving across the customs border of Ukraine with concealment from customs control of ammunition for firearms.

However, thanks to the coordinated work of Law firm “BARRISTERS” team on April 2, 2019, the District Court of Lviv acquitted the US citizen in criminal case № 522/1714/16-k and found him not guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 201 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

On 21.10.2019 the Lviv Court of Appeal rejected the prosecutor appeal in this case and in upheld the acquittal of the District Court of Lviv.
