Money or a Deferral? How the Cabinet of Ministers Forced the Families of Missing Soldiers to Choose

With the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the issue of social support for the families of military personnel has become critical.
Among the many challenges faced by the families of our defenders, the issue of supporting the families of service members who went missing in action while repelling Russia’s armed aggression deserves special attention.
Under the current conditions of martial law, caring for these families is not only the state’s duty but also an important element of social justice and support for those who have sacrificed their lives and health for Ukraine.
However, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has presented these families with a difficult choice: to receive social assistance or a deferral?
