On June 16, 2026, a team of attorneys from BARRISTERS Law Firm—namely, Senior Attorney Serhiy Derev’yanko and Attorney Mykhailo Yakovchuk—participated in a roundtable discussion on the topic: “The Potential of State Registers in the Work of Attorneys: Practical Tools of the AIS.” The event was organized by the National Bar Association of Ukraine (NAAU) in conjunction with the State Enterprise “National Information Systems” (SE “NAIS”).

During the meeting, representatives of SE “NAIS” explained to their colleagues in detail and in accessible terms which specific state registries attorneys currently have legitimate access to, and also provided a detailed overview of the technical and legal procedures for authorization and working within these systems.

The discussion proved to be extremely lively and useful. Since such practical nuances had rarely been addressed before, there were still many “gaps” in the professional community’s understanding—particularly regarding the clear procedure for paying for access to the registries and optimizing search queries. Representatives from BARRISTERS, J.L.P. joined the discussion, sharing their own practical experience using the AIS in their day-to-day defense and representation work.

At the end of the meeting, based on the results of the joint discussion, representatives of the Ukrainian National Bar Association (UNBA) and the State Enterprise “NAIS” decided to prepare and publish a series of detailed informational and explanatory materials (guides). These will include step-by-step guidelines to help attorneys use state registries as effectively and seamlessly as possible in their professional practice.
