The Ukrainian National Bar Association, in collaboration with the expert community, is initiating a public discussion of draft laws aimed at improving the operations of ARMA—the Agency for Asset Recovery and Management.
Chaired by Oleksiy Shevchuk, spokesperson for the UNBA and partner at Barristers Law Firm, leading legal experts, attorneys, representatives of government agencies, and civil society organizations will gather to analyze the current state of legislative regulation and proposals for reforming the system for managing seized assets.
What will we discuss?
Current legislation: Is the existing system for managing seized assets effective?
New legislative initiatives: Their potential impact on ARMA’s transparency and effectiveness.
Corruption risks and ways to minimize them in the process of managing confiscated assets.
Proposals from the legal community to improve asset management mechanisms.
This roundtable will serve as a platform for open dialogue among representatives of the government, the legal profession, and the expert community, aimed at creating an effective and transparent system for managing seized assets.
