A new project by Barristers, JSC, the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA), and the publication “Legal Practice”—a contest for the best lawyer’s story.

On February 1, 2019, at the “AAU Project Fair” event, Oleksiy Shevchuk, a partner at Barristers, LLC, presented a new project by Barristers, LLC, the AAU, and the publication “Yuridichna Praktika”—a contest for the best lawyer’s story!
The goal of the contest is to promote the legal profession. Contest participants will have the opportunity to share their journey toward becoming professionals, recount interesting experiences, describe unconventional approaches to resolving cases, recount remarkable situations encountered while fighting for justice, dispel myths about the profession, and reveal the secrets of their success.

Contestants will also have the opportunity to describe how the profession has shaped their personalities, because the legal profession is not just a job—it’s a way of life.

After the stories are selected by the contest committee, the best ones will be included in the book *The Lawyer’s Story*, which will be published in winter 2019. This collection will make history. It will be the first book in Ukraine to portray lawyers not only as professionals but also as individuals.

Lawyers who are ready to share their life stories and leave their mark on the history of the legal profession are invited to participate in the contest.

The deadline for submitting applications is June 1, 2019.
