On September 30, 2019, Mykola Pashkovsky, a legal advisor and attorney at Barristers Law Firm, delivered a presentation titled “The Role of Translation in Criminal Proceedings in Ukraine” at a roundtable discussion on “Cross-Cultural Communication in the Professional Sphere,” held in Odesa.

The presentation outlined the specifics of oral and written translation in criminal proceedings, systematized the requirements for translators in criminal proceedings, and proposed steps to improve collaboration between translators and attorneys, judges, prosecutors, and investigators.
