A partner at the “Barristers” Law Firm will speak at the AAU’s First Judicial Forum about the potential risks to the practice of law in the context of Article 400-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine!
Nikolay Stoyanov, partner at Barristers, LLC, Deputy Chair of the Odessa Branch of the Ukrainian Bar Association, Candidate of Legal Sciences, and Associate Professor in the Department of Criminal Procedure, will speak at the First Judicial Forum and discuss potential threats to the practice of law in the context of Article 400-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The presentation will take place during a session dedicated to the new realities of applying historically problematic procedural institutions.
SPEAKER PROFILE
Education:
In 2005, Mykola Stoyanov received a Master of Laws degree with honors from the Odessa National Law Academy (now the National University “Odessa Law Academy”), majoring in jurisprudence.
After graduating from the Odessa National Law Academy, he became a doctoral student in the Department of Criminal Procedure at the Odessa National Law Academy.
Professional Experience:
Since 2008, he has served as an assistant professor, and since 2010, as an associate professor in the Department of Criminal Procedure at the Odessa National Law Academy.
On May 30, 2008, he received Certificate No. 1651 authorizing him to practice law.
Since December 15, 2017, he has been a partner at the “Barristers” Law Firm.
Throughout his professional career, he has become a member of the following organizations:
Association of Investigating Judges of Ukraine.
Graduate of the top 100 of the All-Ukrainian Professional Development Program for Attorneys “Attorney of the Future.”
