On January 30, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., an intensive session will be held as part of the course “Searches and Other Investigative Actions,” focusing on covert investigative and search operations.

Although covert investigative (surveillance) measures are just one of the tools used to investigate crimes, they are the most favored by law enforcement officers from any agency. Since October 17, 2019, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) have been authorized to conduct covert investigative and search operations; however, to apply such measures against members of parliament, authorization must come not from a court but from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine itself.
