Partners at Barristers, JSC, participated in the first meeting of the working group tasked with drafting amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine

On February 22, 2018, the first meeting of the working group tasked with drafting amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine took place.

This working group was established to consolidate all legislative initiatives currently before parliament (of which there are several hundred) and to draft a single, comprehensive bill to amend Ukraine’s Criminal Procedure Code. The subgroups include several attorneys, among them:

the group that will develop proposals on measures to ensure - Andriy Levkovets and Armen Nersesyan, partners at Barristers Law Firm;

to the groups that will address issues related to pretrial investigation (investigative actions, evidence, special investigative means, appeals, etc.) and court proceedings—partners at Barristers Law Firm Denis Ponomarenko and Vitaliy Naum, respectively.

We invite our colleagues to join the effort, share their ideas and suggestions, which will certainly be presented during committee discussions.
