Partners and attorneys at Barristers, LLC will host a legal workshop titled “The Investment ABC: ‘KNOW HOW’—A Course for 2019.”

On February 19, 2019, a legal workshop titled “Investment ABC: ‘KNOW HOW’. Course for 2019.” The forum will be held at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kyiv, 33 Velyka Zhytomyrska St., “Colosseum” conference hall, 4th floor).

The event is organized by the law firm Evris and the Barristers Law Firm with the support of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In the second session of the legal workshop, partners at Barristers LLP Oleksiy Shevchuk and Andriy Levkovets, as well as associate partner at Barristers LLP Elvira Lazarenko, and Irina Kuzina, an attorney at Barristers LLP, will address issues related to investment protection, as the primary reason foreign investors often shy away from Ukrainian projects is fear for their money. The lawyers will explain what to do to avoid having people with machine guns show up at your office and how to handle the situation if they’re already at the door.

In the third session of the legal workshop, Alexander Shadrin, a partner at Barristers LLP, and Alexander Tananakin, an attorney at Barristers LLP, will focus on one of the pressing issues in the Ukrainian business environment—corporate raiding. Attendees can expect to learn about strategies and examples of legal defense, corporate and legal preventive measures, and many interesting legal insights.

The event begins at 9:30 a.m.; registration starts at 9:00 a.m.

Participation in the event is free, subject to mandatory pre-registration. Seating is limited, so we ask that each company register no more than two participants. Submitting a request for a larger number of participants is permitted, and if seats are available, we will accommodate them; however, if seats are unavailable, we reserve the right to refuse admission to the third and subsequent employees from the same company.
