The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv denied the prosecutor’s motion to hold a closed hearing. Finally, the hearing took place with the participation of media representatives, members of the public, and members of the general public.

It is noteworthy that the prosecutor changed the grounds for closing the hearings three times: — state secret → investigative secrecy → information for official use only.

Such “maneuvers” proved incomprehensible even to the court. This is an important precedent that paves the way for further open hearings and public oversight.

As for the results: the pretrial detention period was extended, but the court reduced the amount of the alternative bail from 35 to 30 million hryvnias. The amount is still excessive, but the trend indicates movement in the right direction.

Next up are the appeal and the fight to have the notice of suspicion overturned. The defense team is not giving up.

We are grateful to everyone who supports Colonel Dmytro Ryumshyn:

– Members of Parliament,

– Military personnel,

– Journalists,

– Citizens who defend the truth every day.

Justice will prevail!
