Today, the Holosiivskyi District Court of Kyiv denied the prosecutor’s request to extend nighttime house arrest and imposed a preventive measure in the form of a personal pledge on our client. All restrictions on movement within Ukraine have been lifted.
This is an important milestone, as the so-called “reasonable suspicion” is rapidly losing all credibility. It is becoming increasingly difficult for the prosecutor to maintain even the appearance of its existence.
Although the pretrial investigation is ongoing, and Volodymyr Prokopiv remains a suspect, today’s court decision confirms that the case—which had political undertones from the very beginning—is gradually losing its footing.
Our goal remains unchanged—an acquittal and the full exoneration of our client from all baseless charges. It is a long and difficult road, but we will see it through to the end.
