On August 15, the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv denied the prosecutor’s motion to place our client—Dmytro Zagumenny, Chief of Staff of the Kyiv City State Administration—in pretrial detention.
The court also refused to suspend Dmytro Zagumenny from his current position.
As we have stated previously, the allegation is absurd, unfounded, and unproven. Ultimately, the court accepted our arguments, and our client is heading home.
The charges are based on an alleged conspiracy—at an unspecified time, in an unspecified place, with individuals not identified by the investigation. The prosecution provided no convincing evidence—only assumptions and speculation.
But the real fight is still ahead of us. Our goal is an acquittal and the full exoneration of Dmytro Zagumenny’s good name.
