On May 7, 2021, the Solomyanskyi District Court of Kyiv granted the motion filed by a lawyer from the “Barristers” and dismissed the criminal case against Tetiana Chornovol under Part 1 of Article 171 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (obstruction of journalistic activities) pursuant to Subparagraph 10 of Part 2 of Article 284 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine — due to the expiration of the pretrial investigation period.

An appeal may be filed against the court’s ruling.

As a reminder, on October 18, 2019, at the Kyiv Court of Appeals, Dmytro Kucher, who identified himself as a journalist for the YouTubechannel “Anatoliy Shariy,” alleged that Tetyana Chornovol, a member of the 8th convocation of the Verkhovna Rada, had obstructed his journalistic activities.
