On Lawyer's Day, we congratulate the winners of the All-Ukrainian "Lawyer of the Year – 2018" competition and lawyers from various fields who defend the rights and freedoms of Ukrainians

Lawyers’ Day was added to the Ukrainian calendar by Presidential Decree No. 1022/97 of September 16, 1997. This holiday brings together lawyers from various fields who defend the rights and freedoms of Ukrainians. 

On October 5, at the All-Ukrainian “Lawyer of the Year – 2018” competition, the Ukrainian Bar Association announced the winners, including members of BARRISTERS Law Firm:

• Best Lawyer-Scholar – Iryna Hlovyuk
• Best Lawyer of the Year – Criminal Law – Denys Ponomarenko
• Best Head of a Branch of the Ukrainian Bar Association – Denys Ponomarenko
• Best TV Program Host – Oleksiy Shevchuk
• Mykola Pashkovsky, Candidate of Legal Sciences, was awarded the commemorative medal “25 Years of the Ukrainian Association of International Law” for his significant personal contribution to the establishment and activities of the Ukrainian Association of International Law, as well as to the development of the science and practice of international law. 
• An award from the Mayor—Mr. Klitschko—“In recognition of a significant personal contribution to the development of state legal policy, high professionalism, and on the occasion of ‘For the Lawyer’” to Oleksiy Shevchuk
