ON THE OCCASION OF UKRAINE’S LAWYERS’ DAY, A MEMORIAL PLAQUE WAS UNVEILED IN HONOR OF IVAN PAVLOVICH BESSARABOV — A LEGAL ADVISOR WHO WAS KILLED AS A RESULT OF REPRESSIONS ON FEBRUARY 4, 1938.

On the occasion of Ukrainian Lawyers’ Day, a memorial plaque was unveiled in honor of Ivan Pavlovich Bessarabov—a legal advisor who was killed as a result of repression on February 4, 1938.

The initiative to erect the memorial and honor his memory came from the Ukrainian bar community, including Oleksiy Shevchuk and Ilya Novikov—partners at the “Barristers” law firm.
