For the past nine years, he has been a practicing attorney, human rights advocate, and founder and co-founder of approximately ten civic projects of various sizes and scopes.
Mr. Shevchuk is the Chair of the Ukrainian Bar Association’s Committee on the Protection of Lawyers’ Rights, a member of the Ukrainian Bar Association, a member of the International Bar Association, a member of the Committee on Legal Ethics of the National Bar Association of Ukraine, and the author of numerous publications in legal journals, among other activities.
Oleksiy’s leadership qualities and his ability to motivate and inspire others to follow him in fulfilling a specific mission helped him become a co-founder and partner of the “Barristers” Law Firm, which received in 2017 the honorary “Discovery of the Year” award.
Oleksiy Shevchuk is well-known not only within the legal community for his effective defense of clients in high-profile cases.
In addition, it is worth noting Mr. Oleksiy’s active political and journalistic activities, which he combines with his legal practice.
We are confident that the experience and professionalism of this new Board member will contribute to the Association’s development!
