ACCORDING TO THE FIRST DEPUTY CHAIRMAN OF THE NPU AND CHIEF OF THE CRIMINAL POLICE IN’Yacheslav Abroskin, Georgiy Lobzhanidze has been unlawfully detained for four days with the aim of his subsequent deportation
For the fourth day in a row, the Department of Strategic Studies of the National Police of Ukraine, acting on the personal orders of the First Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine — Vyacheslav Abroskin, Chief of the Criminal Police — has been illegally detaining Georgian citizen Georgiy Lobjanidze (Kuts), who is well-known in certain circles in Ukraine and around the world, without any documentation.
Police officials are denying lawyers access and are not providing any documents. They are preparing the detainee for unlawful forced deportation by the Security Service of Ukraine.
Georgiy is being defended by attorneys Vadym Kolokolnikov, Elvira Lazarenko, Oleksandr Shcherbina, and Maksym Dzhevaga of the law firm “Barristers.” For the fourth day in a row, a person has been unlawfully held on the 11th floor of the Department of Special Investigations. The lawyers have appealed to the State Bureau of Investigations, but there has been no response so far.
Georgiy Lobdzhanidze refuses to give any testimony and is not cooperating with law enforcement officials, whose primary goal is to illegally deport him from Ukraine by any means necessary. He has been detained for an extended period to prevent him from filing an appeal on his own in accordance with deportation procedures. It is highly likely that the Security Service of Ukraine will be involved in carrying out this illegal deportation scheme, as was the case in the past with the Moldovan politician, lawyer, and businessman, former member of the Moldovan Parliament Vyacheslav Platon, Serhiy Glonti (Guga), and other controversial figures.
