The court extended the detention of Dmytro Ryumshyn, former commander of the 155th Mechanized Brigade, until April 20, 2025.
The bail amount has been reduced from 50 million to 43 million hryvnias.
What is Dmytro Ryumshyn accused of?
Failure to report incidents of special military operations to the State Bureau of Investigation
Including individuals with administrative offenses on the lists of military personnel for training in France
Failure to conduct legal education within the unit
Facts ignored by the court and the prosecution:
- Ryumshin did not have organizational or administrative responsibilities during the formation of the brigade
- Most of the violations occurred during the temporary command of a commander who has not been held accountable
- Ryumshin did not approve a single soldier with administrative violations for training
- Responsibility for legal education was not within his purview
- Ryumshin’s actual financial situation and that of his family make it impossible for him to post such bail
The court hearing was once again held behind closed doors. Instead of an open trial, there was a lack of transparency and disregard for the defense’s evidence.
