“Pre-trial Investigation: Can One Be Executed or Pardoned?”—this is the topic we will discuss during the second session of the Odessa Criminal Law Forum “Golden Duke,” which will take place on June 26 in Odessa. The session’s expert will be Iryna Hlovyuk, Doctor of Law, professor, attorney, legal advisor to the “Barristers” Law Firm, and member of the Scientific and Advisory Council at the Supreme Court.
We will address the following issues:
- “Electronic” pretrial investigation: Pros and cons of
implementation - The whistleblower as a participant in criminal
proceedings - Informing the public about the progress of proceedings, adherence to the presumption of innocence, and the inadmissibility of disclosing information from the pretrial investigation: issues of balance
- Challenges in providing professional legal assistance to another person whose rights or legitimate interests are restricted during a pretrial investigation
