Lawyers from Barristers Commercial participated in an important roundtable discussion titled “Subsurface Resource Use in Ukraine: Current Development Issues,” organized by the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Ukrainian CCI).

This event brought together leading industry participants, including representatives of the relevant Verkhovna Rada Committee, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the State Service of Geology and Subsurface Resources of Ukraine, as well as experts and business representatives.

For us, as lawyers advising on projects in the field of subsoil use, it was valuable to participate in a professional discussion on

- Ways to resolve land issues for subsoil users.
- Policy on the processing of mineral resources.
- Attracting and ensuring the stability of investments.

- The implementation of modern technologies and expected changes in legislation.
Dialogue between government, experts, and the business community is critically important for the sustainable development of the extractive industry, which is of strategic importance for Ukraine’s economic independence.
