The Odesa Regional Court of Appeals granted the appeal filed by D. V. Ponomarenko, an attorney and partner at BARRISTERS, LLC, D. V. Ponomarenko, and overturned the verdict of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City and District Court of the Odesa Region, which had sentenced the defendant to life imprisonment.

The Odessa Regional Court of Appeals granted the appeal filed by D. V. Ponomarenko, an attorney and partner at BARRISTERS, LLC, D. V. Ponomarenko, and overturned the judgment of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City and District Court of the Odesa Region dated September 26, 2017, in Case No. 495/7099/14, which had sentenced the defendant to life imprisonment under Article 115, Part 2, Subparagraph 4, and Article 15, Part3, and Article 115, Part 2, Subparagraph 13 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and, pursuant to Subparagraph 2 of Part 2 of Article 412 and Subparagraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Article 415 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, remanded the case for a new trial to the court of first instance.
