The dynamics of reforms and practical aspects of criminal procedure were the focus of discussion during Session 2 of the AAU “Golden Duke” Summer Forum.

Participants heard presentations from the following speakers:
Procedural features, jurisdiction over corruption crimes, and practical recommendations related to the launch of the High Anti-Corruption Court—Oleksandr Luk’yanenko, attorney and partner at VB Partners (VB PARTNERS).

Extension of Pre-Trial Investigation Deadlines—A Restriction of Rights or a Necessity? Recent Practices of Investigating Judges—Andriy Mazalov, attorney and partner at Melnik, Mazalov & Partners (Andriy Mazalov).

Specifics of appeals and the review of complaints against rulings by investigating judges—Viktoria Smirnova, judge of the Criminal Chamber of the Donetsk Court of Appeals (Donetsk Court of Appeals).

Civil claims in criminal proceedings. Procedural issues related to filing a claim and exercising the rights of a civil claimant—Vitaliy Tsvigun, Head of the Litigation Practice at Dominanta Law Firm.
