Elvira is a tutor for a course offered by the Council of Europe's "Help" project

On September 12, 2023, the Council of Europe’s “HELP (Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals) for Ukraine, Including During the War” project, in collaboration with the National School of Judges of Ukraine, launched the HELP distance learning course “International Cooperation in Criminal Matters” for Ukrainian judges selected by the National School of Judges of Ukraine to take the course.
Elvira Lazarenko, a partner at Barristres Law Firm, was selected as one of the national trainers for the Council of Europe’s HELP training project.
On September 12, 2023, during a meeting with participating judges dedicated to the launch of the adapted course “International Cooperation in Criminal Proceedings,” Elvira Lazarenko, along with Judge Iryna Shapovalova, was introduced as a course tutor.
The “HELP” project aims to enhance the professional skills of current and future legal professionals in Ukraine (judges, prosecutors, attorneys, other court staff, and law students) so they can effectively apply European human rights standards, particularly during times of war.
The learning platform (https://help.elearning.ext.coe.int/course/index.php...) contains courses designed for legal professionals from all Council of Europe member states on various topics; two-thirds of the courses have been translated into Ukrainian. The courses are available to any user with an account on the platform.
