Boris Babin, a legal advisor at Barristers Law Firm, participated in a project by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation to translate the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights into the Crimean Tatar language.
The authenticity of the text of any international legal source and issues regarding the quality of its translations—particularly official ones—always pose a significant challenge in the application of law.
Therefore, to ensure a high-quality translation, leading philologists analyzed the text of the Declaration in the three working languages of the UN, as well as in several official translations of this document into Turkic languages around the world.
