New Chair Elected for the “BARRISTERS” Law Firm

Oleksandr TANANAKIN has been elected as the new managing partner of Barristers Law Firm.

Attorney Oleksandr TANANAKIN has been with the firm since 2018, has 12 years of total legal experience, and previously served as head of the firm’s Kyiv office.

Throughout his professional career, he has defended and represented public figures, judges, top executives of strategic enterprises, heads of central and regional government agencies, and politicians, including Nadiya Savchenko, Vitali Klitschko, Oleksandr Onyshchenko, Viktor Mialyk, Nestor Shufrich, Oleg Bakhmatyuk, Vasyl Dubnevych, Anton Yanchuk, Vasyl Lozinsky, Mykhailo Golovko, and others; furthermore, he has represented most of his clients before the European Court of Human Rights.

According to the 2024 ranking by the publishing house “Yuridichna Praktika,” he was named one of Ukraine’s top ten leading lawyers in the field of “ANTI-CORRUPTION.”

Since 2021, he has been a doctoral candidate in the Department of Criminal Law at the V.M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

At a meeting of the firm’s Partners’ Council, Oleksandr TANANAKIN’s candidacy was unanimously endorsed by the firm’s 10 partners. The meeting participants expressed confidence in his ability to ensure the effective operation and dynamic development of the law firm in 2025.
