Partner at Barristers, Director of the Center for Legal Information, Professional Development, and Expert Research
(Legal Information Center of the V. Hetman Kyiv National Economic University), Oleksiy Shevchuk, Chairman of the Board of the National Association of Lobbyists of Ukraine, has joined a working group on improving the Criminal Code of Ukraine to ensure the electoral process.
Under the editorship of Ms. Alona Viktorivna Chugaevska, together with Mr. Oleksandr Korniienko, Ms. Olena Shulyak, and other members of the working group, comprehensive amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine have been prepared and submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, aimed at:
• ensuring the lawful conduct of elections
• protecting citizens’ electoral rights
• preventing criminal offenses in the electoral process
• adapting criminal law provisions to the current conditions under which the state operates
