The Committee members discussed organizational matters and outlined plans for the future.

One of the key decisions was to establish a permanent working group comprising representatives of leading bar associations and journalists’ associations. Its objectives are:

– to respond quickly to and prevent conflict situations;

– to conduct outreach on legal and media issues;

– to organize educational events.

The relevant proposals have already been sent to major media organizations and associations.

A separate area of focus is support for Bill No. 12320 regarding liability for equating a lawyer with a client. The Committee will continue to make every effort to ensure that this bill is adopted and enters into force.
