Roman Chervinsky has been assigned a new pretrial condition following an appeal by his barristers.

A new pretrial measure has been imposed on Roman Chervinsky following an appeal by the attorneys at Barristers.
On July 15, the Kropyvnytskyi Court of Appeals, acting on an appeal filed by the law firm “Barristers,” overturned the Kirovohrad District Court’s ruling ordering the mandatory detention of former intelligence officer Roman Chervinsky.
After an eight-hour presentation by defense attorneys Kostyantyn Hloba and Andriy Yosypov, the judges heeded the defense’s arguments for the first time. 
In their arguments, the attorneys for the accused serviceman emphasized the unfounded nature of the charges and the lack of evidence linking Chervinsky to the rocket attack on the Kanatove airfield.
In addition, since the case was assigned to the court, several victims named by the prosecution have stated that they have no claims against the defendant and have renounced their status as victims.
Separately, the defense attorneys emphasized that there were no risks associated with continuing Roman’s detention in pretrial detention and that the criminal prosecution of the former intelligence officer was politically motivated.
Currently, the court has imposed a pretrial detention order on the defendant, with the option of posting bail in the amount of 9 million hryvnias.
