The Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv today ruled to extend the pretrial investigation in the case against Colonel Dmytro Ryumshyn until July 2025.

Back in January, the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) made a big fuss about “corruption schemes” and “sufficient evidence,” spreading information about the suspect’s guilt before the investigation was even complete.
Several months have passed—and now the State Bureau of Investigation is asking the court for additional time... to verify whether a crime was even committed.

The defense emphasizes
: - The wording of the charges has been radically changed—from “intentional inclusion on the lists” to “failure to ensure verification.”
- The new wording effectively eliminates the elements of a crime.
- The extension is needed not to gather evidence in the Ryumshin case, but to use the proceedings as a cover for gathering information about other military personnel.

Detention without evidence is unacceptable.
