The Supreme Court partially granted the appeals filed by the partners of the “Barristers” Law Firm, attorneys Yuriy Valeriyovych Zhovtan and Denys Vasylovych Ponomarenko

The Supreme Court, through a panel of judges of the Judicial Chamber of the Criminal Court of Cassation, partially granted the cassation appeals filed by the partners of the “Barristers” Law Firm, attorneys Yuriy Valeriyovych Zhovtan and Denys Vasylovych Ponomarenko, overturning the appellate court’s verdict, which had found the client guilty of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 122 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and ordering a new trial in the appellate court.

Attorneys Y.V. Zhovtan and D.V. Ponomarenko have been representing the client in these criminal proceedings since the cassation stage. The defendant’s defense in the courts of first and appellate instance was handled by other attorneys.
