On June 19, Alexander Shadrin, an attorney and partner at the Barristers Law Firm, will speak during the second session of the Third “Business vs. Sanctions” Conference, organized by the publishing house Yuridicheskaya Praktika.

Presentation topic: “Specifics of Disputes Regarding Appeals Against Sanctions.”

The second session of the conference will be devoted to the topic of sanctions justice. Leading representatives of the legal community will join the discussion, including a Supreme Court justice, judges from the High Anti-Corruption Court and the High Anti-Corruption Court’s Appeals Chamber, representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, as well as business representatives who face practical challenges related to sanctions regulation.

Session participants will discuss the standards of proof in sanctions proceedings established by the Ministry of Justice, as well as practical aspects of protecting clients’ interests in court. Particular attention will be paid to the issue of securing claims for the recovery of assets in favor of the state, sanctions-related expropriations and their relationship to investment protection, as well as the specifics of disputes regarding the recognition of sanctions as unlawful.
